What is WCIS 2026?

The World Connect & Innovation Summit 2026 is an international platform bringing together students, researchers, young professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators, business leaders, institutional representatives, and emerging global leaders for networking, knowledge exchange and collaboration.

When and where does it take place?

WCIS 2026 takes place in Milan, Italy, from 16 to 19 December 2026 (4 days / 3 nights), at Piazzale Carlo Magno, 1, 20149 Milano MI, Italy.

What is the format?

An international conference with networking and workshops: keynotes, panels, interactive workshops, masterclasses, startup/project presentations and cultural experiences.

Who can attend?

Students & researchers, young professionals & emerging leaders, entrepreneurs & innovators, and corporate, NGO & institutional delegates.

What are the summit tracks?

Global Leadership; Education & Career; Entrepreneurship & Business; Sustainability; Technology & Artificial Intelligence; and International Cooperation.

Packages & Fees

What packages are available?

Fully Funded (€15 application fee), Partially Funded (€100 application fee), Self-Funded Delegate (€499), Forum Access (€249), Invitation Letter Package (€180) and VIP Delegate (€799).

Which packages include a flight ticket?

Only the Fully Funded package includes an international airfare ticket, for eligible selected delegates. All other packages do not include flights.

Which packages include accommodation?

Fully Funded, Partially Funded and Self-Funded Delegate include shared accommodation. VIP Delegate includes a private hotel room for 4 nights. Forum Access and the Invitation Letter Package do not include accommodation.

How are Fully and Partially Funded places awarded?

Both are awarded through competitive selection by the WCIS organizing committee.

What does the VIP package include?

Private hotel room (4 nights), airport transfer, breakfast, all conference meals, VIP dinner, priority VIP seating, VIP networking session and a VIP certificate.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, all packages except the Invitation Letter Package include a certificate, awarded at the closing ceremony. VIP delegates receive a VIP certificate.

Application & Documents

How do I apply?

Complete the online application and select your category. After review by the organizing committee you receive your status and pay the applicable fees, then your invitation and visa support documents are issued.

How long does confirmation take?

Registration confirmation: 24–48 hours. Payment verification: within 24 hours.

When will I receive my invitation letter?

The official invitation letter and visa support documentation are issued within 3–5 working days. Accommodation vouchers take 3–7 working days.

Can I present my startup or project?

Yes. Dedicated pitching sessions cover four categories: Startups, Research, Social Innovation and Technology. Project pitch eligibility is included in the Self-Funded Delegate package.

Visa & Travel

Does WCIS guarantee my visa?

No. Participation in WCIS 2026 or issuance of invitation documents does not guarantee an Italian or Schengen visa. All decisions remain exclusively with competent Italian authorities.

Where do I apply for my visa?

At the Italian consulate responsible for your country, using the visa support documents issued after confirmation and payment.

What am I responsible for?

Participants are responsible for the accuracy of their travel documents, their visa applications, and travel insurance.

What happens when I arrive in Milan?

You check in on site, collect your badge and welcome materials, and join the delegate orientation and welcome reception on Day 1.
